Beats & Breaks 2 will be a sequel to last year's successful live hiphop event @ Esplanade. Last year we saw 18 MCs, 2 DJs & a VJ from The.XS Collective converge together as one performing unit known as XS.One The Regiment. Click here to watch.


This year we shall see Young.XS take the centre stage on day 2 of the event performing his tracks from his debut album "Love.Soul.Desire" with his band The Weekend Vigilantes along with cameo appearance from Kill Bill, Richard J, and fellow XS Lyricists, Ishmael.XS, DoggFace.XS, & Chavito.XS. Young has been making waves with his band and has been rocking out fiery live performances since his album debut.


Following that, our Malaysian Rogue Squadron brethren, Mic Wrecka will end day 2 of the event with that raw hiphop. Azrael.XS & DoggFace.XS will also join him in his track "LiveWire"

Other cameos appearance include Shino.XS, Azrael.XS & IRFNXS featured on G.O.D.'s Remix of the track "Diamonds". So do check out G.O.D.'s set on day 1 of Beats & Breaks. Stay tuned for the recorded version of the remix...

Rhythm & Poetry (R&P) marks a history for many of the local hip-hop activist in Singapore. On 6th June 1999, local hip-hop scene celebrated it's first independent hip-hop gig, and 10 years down the road, the scene still lives. R&P 2009 will feature many hip-hop artiste from 99 to 09, those who are either still active and of course those who have contributed much to the culture. Come celebrate 10 years of independent hip-hop in Singapore with us!

Rhythm & Poetry, which has now turn into a 3 part series, will kick off next weekend with an anniversary show. On next Saturday, 6th June 2009, many hip-hop heads who are either still active or have contributed much to the scene will be celebrating 10 years of independent hip-hop in Singapore at our ‘home’ venue, The Arts House. The event will be from 12 noon - 9 pm, and it will feature artiste from the year 1999 - 2009. This is definitely an event you don’t want to miss. Admission is only $5 (pre-sale) or $10 (at door). We will also be recording some video shots for our Rhythm & Poetry: The Documentary at the show. The documentary and the last event, which is the 2nd and 3rd part of the series, will be held in October and December respectively.
